At around 7:40am this morning, a student crossing in a crosswalk in front of the school was involved in a traffic accident. Emergency services were immediately contacted and responded quickly to the scene to provide aid. The student was transported to the hospital and is in stable condition. Out of respect for the parties involved, we ask that individuals not share recordings or photos they may have obtained regarding the incident.
We understand that a situation like this can be unsettling, and we want to assure you that our students have the support they need. Counselors and support personnel are available to speak with any student who may be struggling with this morning’s events. Please encourage your child to reach out to a trusted teacher, administrator, or a member of our counseling team if they need to talk.
Situations like this remind us of the strength of our community and our support for one another.

Our lady Vikings represented well.

My name is Avery Cowart, I grew up in Gilbert, Arizona, where I played volleyball for four years at Highland High School, one of the top programs in the state. I also competed with Victory Volleyball Club, a nationally recognized club in Arizona that helped shape my love for the game. After serving a two-year mission in Missouri and Argentina, I moved to Utah, where I met my amazing wife, Karli. We now have a four-month-old son, James, who brings so much joy and energy into our lives. Volleyball has always been a huge part of who I am — both as a player and now as a coach. I’m beyond excited to be part of this incredible program and proud to call myself a Viking!

Recently they were both recognized at the Women Tech Awards
Lynne Yocom was award Women Tech of the year
Audra was awarded a SheTech Impact Award.
